Enhanced Notes Widget for Device Dashboards

Empower your users with seamless access to information, links and actions directly within the device dashboard. The Notes widget on device dashboards now supports clickable links to any URL and Markdown formatting for rich, readable content. This enhancement enables device manufacturers to deliver clear, actionable guidance and connect users to external resources without leaving the device context.

Sample use cases:

• Software downloads: Include a link to a landing page where customers can download complementary software, drivers or firmware updates.

• Customer onboarding: Link to setup guides, video tutorials, or FAQs to streamline installation.

• Training & education: Provide Markdown-formatted tips, learning modules, or certification resources.

• Partner integrations: Guide users to third-party integrations, plugins, or companion apps.

How to add the Notes widget

To enable this functionality:

1. Navigate to the Product Hub and select Models.

2. Choose the specific model where you want to add the widget.

3. Open the Monitoring Dashboard tab.

4. Click Add widget and select Notes.

5. Enter a name for the widget.

6. In the Note content field, add your link or Markdown-formatted text. You can configure the link to open in a new tab or in the same tab.
