Coming soon: lexicon change - "Organizations" and "Sub-organizations"

A heads up to let you know that we will soon be making a lexicon change in the Partners' Portal. As the term “customer” is ambiguous, we are adopting the terms “Organization” and “Sub-organization” to denote the following:

• “Organization” refers to an account that manages devices on Xyte, which refers to both Xyte Device Cloud and Connect+ users, and may refer to either:

  • an integrator/MSP managing devices on behalf of customers

  • an enterprise / SMB / university / house of worship / etc. managing their own devices.

• “Sub-organization” refers to separately managed customers of Organizations.

In the Partners Portal, where you previously saw the term “Customers” you will now see the term “Organizations.” Please note: no changes have been made to the Customers’ Portal.
